The Iron & Steel Technology Conference and Exposition, co-located with the Asia-Pacific Partnership (APP) Technology Showcase, is scheduled for May 4–7, 2009, at America’s Center in St. Louis, Mo. The APP is an innovative effort to accelerate the development and deployment of clean energy technologies. It is a joint governmental effort between the United States, Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan and Korea covering multiple technologies including aluminum, cement, coal, steel and others. The steel taskforce and its technology showcase will be represented at AISTech 2009. The showcase will include suppliers of clean energy steel technologies from the Pacific rim countries and represents another step in the global awareness of AIST activities.
