Travel Grant Application
Travel Grants are available to full-time undergraduate students. A copy of student ID must be submitted with this form. Conference registration is required for all travel grant recipients. Funds are available on a first-come, first served basis. Expenses for transportation, hotel, and meals will be reimbursed up to the amount indicated below.

Plant Tour (Sunday, May 2nd, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.) - A bus will pick-up at the Westin Convention Center Hotel at 1:00 p.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. TMK IPSCO Koppel Tubulars will host a plant tour for students to their plant in Ambridge, Pa. TMK IPSCO is a manufacturer of a wide range of carbon and alloyed seamless and selded pipe products priomarily for energy alpplications. Its product offering includes seamless tubing and casing, drill pipe, line pipe, coupling stock, premium connections and oilfield accessories. Welded pipe products are casing and tubing for oil and gas wells, line pipe, standard pipe and hollow structural sections. TMK IPSCO also has steel making facilities producing steel billets for the manufacturing of seamless pipes and hollows. |

Steel Scavenger Hunt (Sunday, May 2nd through Wednesday, May 5th at 2:30 p.m.) – Forms will be distributed at the Orientation and need to be turned in at the AIST Service Center by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the AISTech Exhibit Hall. |

Student Project Presentation Contest (Monday, May 3rd, 9:30 – 11:30 noon)
All undergraduate students who have completed a project may register to participate in this contest. The topic of the project is unlimited but should be technical in nature. Students will be assigned 15 minute sessions each to present their project. Participants will be judged on overall knowledge of project topic, thoroughness of the content, and presentation skills. Each participant will receive $300 toward travel expenses, and the presentations receiving the top scores will receive cash prizes, $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place. Students interested in participating in the Student Project Presentation Contest are invited to return this form by April 15, 2010. The contest will be held in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Enter by completing a student participation form. |

Student Lunch with the AIST Foundation Board of Trustees (Monday, May 3rd, 12:30 p.m.), Westmoreland Room
Enjoy lunch with the Trustees at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. The Trustees work hard all year around to raise funds to reach the mission, to ensure the iron and steel industry of tomorrow will have a sufficient number of qualified professionals. |

Student Social (Monday, May 3rd, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.)
Students are invited to ride The Duquesne Heights Incline up Mt. Washington, visit the Museum, head to the Hard Rock Café for dinner. Following dinner there may be time to explore Station Square. A bus will depart from the Westin Convention Center Hotel at 6:30 p.m. and return at 9:30 p.m. |
