A Message From the AISTech 2010 Conference Planning Committee Chair

AISTech 2009 took place in St. Louis, Mo., and tested our industry’s resolve. With the challenges that are affecting the iron and steel industry, and the global economy as a whole, all companies are looking for ways to become safer, higher quality, more efficient and lower cost organizations. AISTech 2009 showcased proven methods to reach these challenging goals through a Town Hall Forum, technology discussions, presentations, papers and suppliers exhibits.

Even with the struggling economy, we continue to evolve, and the landscape of the iron and steel industry is continually changing in order to weather this economic storm. Through perseverance, our industry will emerge from these times stronger and more sustainable going into the future.

AISTech 2010 will be held May 3-6 in Pittsburgh, Pa., home of the six-time Super Bowl Champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Through the efforts of the AIST Technology Committees, membership and staff, AISTech 2010 will once again provide cutting-edge technologies, best practices, and insights into the future of the steel industry.

On behalf of everyone involved, I would like to invite the iron and steel industry suppliers, producers, professionals, students and members from the education community to AISTech 2010 in Pittsburgh. Please join your colleagues and take advantage of this unique opportunity to network and broaden your technical horizons.
