IIMA
The International Iron Metallics Association (IIMA) in cooperation with AIST will present a half-day educational seminar on ore-based iron metallics used in iron casting and steel production at the Westin Indianapolis Hotel in the Council Room on Sunday, 1 May, from 1–4:30 p.m. In addition to introducing the IIMA, which is a joint venture of the HBI Association (HBIA) and the International Pig Iron Association (IPIA), the seminar will present the characteristics of the various metallic input materials that originate from iron ore (i.e., DRI, HBI, pig iron, and iron nuggets) and how they are produced, transported, and used.

The course fee is US$100 with full AISTech 2011 conference registration or US$200 without AISTech 2011 conference registration.  You can register for the course when completing your AISTech 2011 registration.  For more information about the IIMA and its activities, contact Frank Griscom, IIMA Secretary, or visit the IIMA Web site.
