The AIST president, William P. Breedlove, will host the President's Award Breakfast on Tuesday, 3 May 2011, in the Sagamore Ballroom inside the Indiana Convention Center. Representing one of the global steel industry's most recognizable events, the President's Award Breakfast breakfast program will include the presentation of several prestigious association awards followed by a keynote presentation titled: "Observations Regarding Opportunities for Growth in the Steel Industry" by Sunco's Fritz Henderson.

About the Keynote Speaker:Fritz Henderson
Frederick "Fritz" Henderson is senior vice president of Sunoco Inc. In his present position, Henderson is helping to prepare for the previously announced separation of SunCoke Energy from Sunoco. Henderson, the former president and CEO of General Motors, will become chairman and chief executive officer of SunCoke upon completion of the separation, reporting to the new company board. He will play a key role in the separation, as well as lead SunCoke's pursuit of global growth opportunities. In 1984, Henderson joined General Motors and became group vice president of finance for GMAC in 1991. He later worked within GM's global component operations before being appointed GM vice president and managing director of GM do Brasil in 1997. In 2000, he was appointed group vice president and president of GM-LAAM (Latin America, Africa and Middle East) before becoming president of GM Asia Pacific in 2002, where he was successful in expanding operations in Korea and China. In 2004, Henderson was appointed chairman of GM Europe. He then became GM's vice chairman and chief financial officer in 2006, then president and chief operating officer before being appointed president and chief executive officer in 2009. Henderson earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He also serves as trustee of the Alfred P.
