IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: AISTech 2009 H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu)
The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) is monitoring the H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) infection utilizing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) web site. AIST will follow the guidance of the CDC in preparation for the upcoming AISTech Conference & Exposition being held in St. Louis, Missouri, USA from May 4 to 7, 2009.
On Thursday April 30, 2009 the CDC issued a Travel Health Warning titled Travel Warning: H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) and Severe Cases of Respiratory Illness in Mexico — Avoid Nonessential Travel to Mexico. This information is current as of today, May 1, 2009 at 7:13 EDT and the full text of the Travel Warning can be reviewed at http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/contentSwineFluMexico.aspx. This link also provides additional information as recommended by the CDC for travelers.
AIST is not altering the schedule of events for AISTech 2009. AIST will continue to monitor the situation and update this message accordingly.
