The AIST J. Keith Brimacombe Memorial Lecture was established in 1999 to honor Dr. J. Keith Brimacombe’s outstanding accomplishments in the area of process metallurgy, his dedication to the steel industry and his profound effect on people in the industry. This award shall be selected every other year on the even year. The honorary lecturer shall present a lecture on a subject of particular interest to the association two years following selection (i.e., selection in January 2006, presentation in 2008).
