Division Level Awards - General Guidelines
- Only
AIST members may nominate a candidate, unless noted.
- For
all award candidates, there are no restrictions with respect to
nationality, citizenship, race, gender, occupation, age or membership
in AIST, unless noted.
- The
deadline for nominations of candidates for all technology division-level
awards will be Oct. 30 of each year.
- All
recipients will be selected by Jan. 31 by each technology committee.
- A recipient shall be selected annually for each award unless noted,
provided a qualified candidate is nominated.
- The award recipient must be living at the time of selection.
- Following the selection process, award recipients shall be approved
by the AIST Board of Directors through electronic ballot by Feb. 28.
- AIST
headquarters shall notify, in writing, all award recipients and
principal nominators.
- All
awards will be presented during a session at AISTech or MS&T
at a technology committee meeting, or member chapter meeting, unless
noted.
- All award recipients will be identified in the July issue of Iron
& Steel Technology the following year.
- An
annual budget will be established for the Awards and Recognition
Program by the Board of Directors.
