The AIST India Member Chapter was established in 2008. Since the formation of the chapter, the number of AIST members in India has nearly doubled. Much of the increase is due to the efforts of the AIST India Member Chapter (AIST IMC) committee.

Mr. N.K. Guha, India Member Chapter secretary, Mr. B.N. Mukhopadhyay, India Member Chapter’s Board of Directors Representative and Mr. R.M. Satam, member of the India Member Chapter have provided an update on the efforts of the India Member Chapter, as well as information regarding the steel industry in India.
