International Steel Academy – December 2011
On 5 December 2011, AIST launched its International Steel Academy in Jamshedpur, India. In attendance at the inauguration ceremony was Mr. A.C.R. Das, representing the Ministry of Steel, who opened the event with a speech along with other executives from Tata Steel. Mr. Das offered his assistance to identify education and training needs that may benefit AIST members in India and abroad. The Academy was over-subscribed, attracting 198 attendees from the major steel producers in India, against a planned class size of 150 students. |
