Annual Meeting – September 2011
The AIST Philadelphia Chapter hosted their annual meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading, Pa., on 18–20 September 2011. The event began with a golf outing on Sunday morning at the Manor Golf Course, where 14 golfers participated. That evening, attendees gathered among the vendor displays for a welcome reception.
On Monday, 19 September, the day’s events began with a breakfast and keynote presentation by R. Joseph Stratman, executive vice president, Nucor Corp., and AIST president. After Stratman’s presentation, eight technical presentations were given. The dinner on Monday evening featured a keynote presentation by William Wulfsohn, president and CEO of Carpenter Technology Corp. The event concluded on Tuesday morning following a plant tour of Carpenter Technology’s Reading facility, with 82 attendees. This event was the first of its kind in the Philadelphia Member Chapter. |
