Southern California Chapter Scholarship - Back to chapters

Objectives – The objective of the Southern California Member Chapter scholarships is to reward and encourage an AIST Southern California Member Chapter high school senior or college undergraduate student, by providing a grant of financial support during attendance full or part time at any accredited university or college. There are two scholarships – AIST Member Scholarship and the Engineering Scholarship.

Awards – Two scholarships, valued at US$1,500 each, will be available each year.

Eligibility – The Member Scholarship will be awarded to a member or the child, grandchild, niece, nephew or spouse of an AIST Southern California Chapter member. The Engineering Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a career in engineering, the sciences or other majors relating to iron and steel production. The Member Scholarship is for members of the Material Advantage program, children, stepchildren, grandchildren or spouses of active (dues paid) Southern California Chapter members for two consecutive years. Student members of the Material Advantage program are also eligible. The student must be accepted in an eligible full or part time course of study at an accredited university or college.
