About Hermitage Golf Course

The Hermitage Golf Course is the #1 Rated public course in Tennessee by Golf Digest Magazine and offers two courses, the President’s Reserve and General’s Retreat. President’s Reserve, designed by architect Denis Griffiths, trails through 300 acres of natural Tennessee wetlands and along the banks of the beautiful Cumberland River. Playing up to 7,200 yards, the President’s Reserve can offer any golfer as much challenge as one might desire, yet be a pleasurable golfing experience for even the occasional golfer. The President’s Reserve has been recognized by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top 10 in Tennessee. General’s Retreat, built in 1986 with architect Gary Roger Baird, hosted the LPGA Sara Lee Classic from 1988 to 1999. Having been voted the “Best Golf Course in Nashville,” General’s Retreat is a “must play” when visiting the Nashville area. With the beautiful setting along the Cumberland River and a variety of tee placements, golfers of all capabilities will thoroughly enjoy the golf, scenery and hospitality offered at the Hermitage Golf Course.
