Journey into the timberlands and view Kodiak bears and majestic bald eagles. Venture down a winding path for a trip to Africa and Australia, where you will find giraffes, gazelles, zebras grazing, lions roaring, elephants bathing, and Australian birds displaying their beautiful colors. Take a “mini vacation” as you walk through the deserts of the world in the conservatory. All this and more awaits your discovery at the Indianapolis Zoo.

*Note: Dolphin shows are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Zionsville Day OutWednesday, May 9 — Zionsville Day Out
10 a.m.–2 p.m. • $65 per person

On the northwestern fringe of Indianapolis, a mere 20 minutes from the downtown area, lies the quaint and quiet village of Zionsville. It is one of the few towns in the United States that has preserved its brick main street. Here, shops lining the fabled brick street offer a variety to fit any shopping mood — from upscale and uniquely fashionable, to rare and vintage antiques. More than 50 shops await the browsing shopper. Nestled among the shops are fine restaurants and quaint cafes that have made visiting Zionsville a popular pastime throughout central Indiana.

A romantic Victorian Church restored to its original grandeur rich with European influences is now the backdrop for internationally acclaimed artist N.A. Noel. Noel’s Studio, now referred to as The Sanctuary, is the only place in the world where collectors will find a complete collection of her work. Shoppers can browse the gallery and purchase original paintings, limited and open-edition prints, works on canvas, and books. Your trip will include a guided tour of this grand gallery.

While in Zionsville, guests will be treated to a delightful luncheon at Cobblestone Grill, located on Main Street in downtown Zionsville. This small-town restaurant offers a nice selection of upscale American cuisine with an international flare.
