NATO Members to Trump: Not All Steel Imports Are a National Security Risk

6/19/2017 - Some of NATO’s European members are pressing the Trump administration to rethink setting restrictions on steel imports based on national security concerns, reports the (London) Financial Times.
According to the Financial Times, representatives of the German and Dutch militaries have taken the unusual step of lobbying the Pentagon over a trade matter, telling the U.S. that steel imports from longstanding NATO allies don’t pose national security risks.
