John Ball John started his career in the U.S. Navy operating nuclear power plants on a guided missile cruiser, including being deployed to the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. After his military service, he worked in the power sector prior to spending a dozen years in the semiconductor industry in various leadership roles with Infineon (a Siemens and Motorola joint venture) and Intel Corp. He returned to the nuclear industry with Westinghouse to help develop the international supply chain for steel fabrications used in new power plant construction. He then spent a decade as president of the North American region for CRU and their subsidiary Steel Market Update, specializing in market analysis across the metals sector. He drove significant growth, led multiple acquisitions, and worked closely with companies across the steel supply chain and industry association stakeholders. He joined AIST in 2025 as General Manager — Commercial to lead sales, marketing, and the development of industry analytics. |
