Susanne Michelic is a full professor at the Technical University of Leoben, Chair of Ferrous Metallurgy, and serves as the chief scientific officer of the metallurgical competence center K1-MET, as well as the head of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Inclusion Metallurgy in Advanced Steelmaking. Additionally, she is a guest professor at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing. With a distinguished academic background, including a habilitation in steelmaking and doctoral and master’s degrees in metallurgy, she has held key academic positions and can also rely on industrial experience. Susanne Michelic has received several awards for her research activities, acts as a member of the board of the Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials and actively contributes to the metallurgical community through teaching and research in the field.
