Thiago Campos is Head of Green Steel at SMS group and leads the Green Steel Hub in Metallurgy. He holds a degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and brings more than 18 years of experience in both upstream and downstream steelmaking, gained during his tenure at a major global steel producer. Thiago joined SMS group in February 2024 and was appointed to his current role in June 2024. He is 43 years old, married, and father of two. Thiago is committed to driving the sustainable transformation of the steel industry through innovation, collaboration, and full value chain engagement.
