Morgan Construction Co. recently received a contract from Qasco-Dubai to upgrade its single-strand rod mill in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Scope of supply comprises a new, state-of-the-art process control system, along with motors, mechanical drives and other miscellaneous equipment modifications. The upgrade will be designed to facilitate increased rolling speeds.”

Morgan supplied the mill’s original No-Twist^® Mill wire rod block, which was once located in the United States. Today, the mill produces low carbon, plain and rebar wire rod ranging from 5.5 to 12 mm in diameter.
