Review Mission Statement

  • To promote the understanding and advancement of appropriate computer applications, architectures and technologies for the processing of steel, by providing forums to learn about best practices, new and current technologies; by enabling the exchange of problem solving ideas within the metals processing industry, and with potential suppliers; as well as by networking with associated disciplines in academia, government, research and related industries.

 

Board of Director Level Awards Nominations for Distinguished Member and Fellow, Sendzimir Award, Fairless Award and Steelmaker of the Year nominations

 

Upcoming training conferences:

  • The 8th International STEELSIM CONFERENCE (13-15 August, 2019, The Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Toronto, Canada).  Advanced registration (save 100 USD) due date 2nd July 2019 Member 1,095 USD and Non-member 1310 USD. The AIST Computer Applications Technology Committee was listed as a sponsor.

 

CATC Best Paper Award at AISTech 2019

  • Modeling of Heat Transfer and Phase Transformation Phenomena During Run-Out-Table Cooling, Yufeng Wang, Dengqi Bai, Rick Bodnar

 

AIST Digital Transformation work force group

  • One volunteer from each committee to join the task force group. Please recommend a colleague that would be interested in participating. Meeting held at ASITech on Wednesday May 8th 1:30-2:30 pm Room CC-330.
