ATTENDEE TIPS

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME BEFORE, DURING
AND AFTER THE SHOW.

GLOBAL EVENT SPONSORS

Whether this is your first AISTech or you've been joining us for years, we have some key information to help you in planning your trip.

BEFORE THE SHOW

REGISTER ONLINE TO SAVE TIME
Save time and avoid on-site registration lines by registering by 16 April 2023. After this date, there will be a US$100 increase for conference registration.

RESERVE YOUR HOTEL ROOM
Hotel space is limited, so be sure to make your reservation early using AIST's housing website to ensure you get the best available rate AIST has to offer.

APPLY FOR YOUR VISA
If you live in a country that requires a visa to enter the United States, we recommend you submit your visa application early (three months prior to travel). AIST will provide a letter of invitation for all registered attendees but does not have influence over the issuance of a visa.

SET YOUR GOALS AND MAKE A PLAN
Take time and think about what your goals are and what you expect to gain from attending AISTech. Take advantage of the Online Floor Plan and Technical Program and decide which papers, exhibitors or plenary sessions will help you achieve your goals. Make appointments in advance with anyone you want to meet to ensure you don't get too busy on-site and miss any opportunities. Also, be sure you have enough business cards to bring with you (don't forget to put them in your luggage).

DOWNLOAD OUR APP
The AISTech app will help you plan your visit to AISTech from start to finish, providing you with the ability to create a schedule of the technical sessions you want to attend, map your exhibit floor visit and receive general information about the show and the city of Detroit. The app will be available for download in April.

DURING THE SHOW

WEAR YOUR BADGE
Your badge is your pass to the technical program, plenary sessions and exhibit hall. If you receive your badge in the mail, bring it with you and skip registration. If you did not receive your badge in advance, you can pick it up at the registration area in the Huntington Place convention center. Make sure you are pre-registered and bring your confirmation barcode with you to expedite the process.

It is also important to take a few minutes to look at the vouchers included in your badge and redeem them when necessary.

GET YOUR BADGE SCANNED
After the show, AIST will send you a list of each exhibit booth where your badge was scanned. This allows you to see a list of all booths you visited and provides you with contact information for follow-up after the event.

VISIT THE AIST MEMBER SERVICES CENTER
Take a few minutes to visit the AIST Member Services Center. This is where you can purchase publications, apply for membership, redeem your member and nonmember raffle tickets, and get general information about AIST.

RAFFLE TICKETS
Prize drawings are held in different booths on the exposition floor. Your badge includes directions on how to enter the feature area raffles, and you also will receive a raffle ticket to enter the Truck Giveaway. Make sure to enter the different raffles for a chance to win some amazing prizes.

AFTER THE SHOW

COMPLETE THE AISTECH SURVEY
You will receive a post-conference survey shortly after you return home form the event. We strive to provide the best education, networking, and overall experience to our attendees and appreciate your honest opinion of the event.

FOLLOW UP
This could be the most important part of your plan. Follow up with the people you met at the conference; even if you do not have a specific need in mind, it is a good idea to further develop any relationships started at the conference.

IMPLEMENT
Set up a meeting with your supervisor. Discuss the new technologies and processes you learned about and whether they can be implemented at your facility.
