The Making, Shaping and Treating of Steel: 101

The Making, Shaping and Treating of Steel: 101 seminar was held in conjunction with the AIST Leadership Conference in LaQuinta, Calif., on 15–16 November 2012. The course was presented by two AIST Technology Committee members: Ron O’Malley, Nucor Steel–Decatur LLC, presented the steelmaking section on the first day. 
Bob Greuter, Danieli Corp., presented the shaping and treating section on the second day. A tour of California Steel Industries Inc. concluded the seminar. The next Making, Shaping and Treating of Steel: 101 seminar will take place in Birmingham, Ala., on 4–7 March 2013, during which CMC Steel Alabama will be the host plant.
