10/18/2013 - Lane Steel has selected Butech Bliss to design, engineer, manufacture and install its new state-of-the-art Synergy™ Hydraulic Roller Leveler to its existing cut-to-length line.
This is the sixth Synergy Hydraulic Leveler sold since its introduction at Fabtech in 2012. When this new leveler is installed, Lane can offer a wider variety of superior quality materials from its McKees Rocks, Pa., plant. This leveler is designed to process material up to 72 inches wide by 0.375 inches thick. Installation will take place in the first quarter of 2014.

Butech Bliss provides innovative engineering, manufacturing and field services to the metals industries from the company’s 400,000 square foot Technology Center located in Salem, Ohio.

Since its inception in 1982 as a small family-owned business in the heart of Sewickley, Pa., Lane Steel has evolved into a major flat rolled steel distributor and service center. Operating out of the historical Lockhart Complex just outside of Pittsburgh along the Ohio River, the company today spans 375,000 square feet and employs more than 60 people. Al Gedeon, Lane Steel founder and chairman, utilized a career’s worth of experience in the steel industry to build the company’s foundation.
