MMFX Steel's New Hire Builds Company Growth Momentum
Saddawi has more than 19 years of extensive international experience in project and construction management, as well as design engineering. His expertise in all aspects of large private development and public works projects provides an excellent foundation as he supports technical research and strategic planning. The growth and acceptance of MMFX’s uncoated corrosion-resistant and high-strength reinforcing steel products in the construction industry is Saddawi’s main focus.
“Bassam has managed large and complex private development and public works projects in the United States, Canada and the Middle East,” said Salem Faza, vice president of engineering and specifications for MMFX Technologies Corporation and president of MMFX Steel DMCC. “His track record in developing new business and opportunities will benefit the current growth in the adoption rate of MMFX’s technology.”
Prior to joining MMFX, Saddawi served as a senior project manager and team leader for AECOM. There he provided technical expertise to value engineering applications during design, construction, operation and maintenance phases of structures. These phases include feasibility, conceptual engineering, design consultant tendering and delivery, contractor tendering, construction project management, closeout and the handover to operations.
Saddawi holds a Master of Science in civil engineering, and is a licensed professional engineer in Canada and a registered civil professional engineer in California. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional BD+C and an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
MMFX Steel Corporation is an operating subsidiary of MMFX Technologies Corporation and is based in Irvine, Calif. MMFX Steel markets and sells MMFX2 branded concrete reinforcing steel derived from its parent company’s micro and nanotechnologies throughout North America. Independent scientific tests have shown MMFX2 to be five times more corrosion-resistant and up to two times stronger than conventional steel.
