Tenova Wins Order for New EAF for Tosyali Algeria

The furnace will be almost identical to the facility’s current EAF, which Tenova supplied in 2016.
 
The new equipment, powered by a 240-MVA AC transformer, will process 2.5 million tons per year of direct reduced iron (DRI) pellets to produce hot-rolled coil. It will be equipped with a charging system that allows charging and melting of more than 12 tons of hot DRI per minute.
