Swedish Producer Restarts Blast Furnace

2/1/2023 - SSAB has joined the list of European steel producers who have relit idled blast furnaces in recent weeks, reports Fastmarkets MB.

According to the news and pricing provider, SSAB restarted the 1.25-million-metric-ton furnace at its Raahe facility in January.

ArcelorMittal and U. S. Steel Košice also have recently started furnaces, Fastmarkets reported.
