Nucor Announces Retirement of Its Executive Vice President
03/03/2026 - Nucor announced that its executive vice president of commercial, Daniel R. Needham, will retire 20 June 2026.
“[Neeham’s] experience across multiple operations and communities strengthened our position in the North American steel industry and helped position the company for continued success,” said Leon Topalian, chair and chief executive officer of Nucor.
Needham began as a controller at Nucor Steel–Herford County in 2000. He went on to serve as controller at Nucor Steel–Decatur LLC and Nucor Steel–Utah. After that, he was general manager of Nucor Steel Connecticut, Utah and Indiana. His promotion to vice president was in 2016; the promotion to executive vice president of commercial came in 2021.
“We are grateful for Dan's many contributions and wish him and his family all the best in the next chapter,” Topalian continued.
