With two decades in the circular economy, she amplifies companies’ impact through their brand, drives engagement and uncovers high-value opportunities. Magnar Metals is the one-stop business development, public relations, and digital marketing firm for the innovative metals manufacturing and recycling industries worldwide. Betts works with top industry players, utilizing her experience from The David J. Jospeh Co. (Nucor Steel) and AK Steel (Cleveland-Cliffs) to shape the future of sustainable metals. She is also the creator of Betts on the Future, a podcast that showcases the variety of careers and leadership in the metals and recycling supply chain and metals and advanced manufacturing, focusing on the innovation in the industry today. With a finance degree from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from Xavier University, Betts combines financial expertise with industry insight and experience. After calling several U.S. states home, she currently lives in Thousand Oaks, Calif., with her husband, two children, and their dog, Lucky.

Tamika Catchings is a four-time Olympic gold medalist, WNBA champion, and Naismith and Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer. Widely regarded as one of the greatest to ever play the game, she’s also a 10-time All-Star and five-time Defensive Player of the Year. Beyond basketball, Catchings is the founder of the Catch the Stars Foundation, owner of Tea’s Me Café and Bottled Tea, and a respected leader in business and community service. She serves on multiple boards, provides commentary for ESPN/SEC Network, and holds an Executive M.B.A. from Notre Dame. Whether on the court or in the community, Tamika continues to inspire through purpose-driven leadership.

Jackie Clague is a key account manager at Castrol with over 13 years of experience in industrial lubrication and metalworking fluids. She partners with manufacturers across the steel industry to enhance maintenance reliability and operational efficiency through fluid optimization. Clague holds a degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University and is passionate about building strong customer relationships. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband and young daughter.


Lauren CulbertsonLauren Culbertson

Lauren Culbertson is the vice president of engineering at Songer Services, a heavy industrial contractor for integrated steel, oil and gas, chemical and power. Culbertson brings over 18 years of industry experience to her current role, where she has responsibility for strategic direction and implementation of technical services including project management, project development, engineering services, and quality assurance and control. She joined Songer Services in 2016, overseeing and managing multiple major projects in the midstream gas processing industry as part of the industrial capabilities expansion of Songer Services. Prior to joining Songer Services, Culbertson worked at United States Steel Corporation with responsibility for managing large capital projects. She has a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Penn State and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.


Christina Edgerton

Christina Edgerton is a senior executive with a strong track record in industrial leadership, bringing deep experience in driving growth strategies, executing commercial and operational excellence, and developing talent across global manufacturing and materials organizations. In her current role at CMC, she is responsible for driving performance across four businesses within the Emerging Businesses Group including driving operational excellence in manufacturing, delivering solutions for complex projects to early-stage construction, and executing on growth strategies. Prior to CMC, Edgerton served as president of Pennsy Supply, a CRH company, where she led a multisite construction materials business serving the infrastructure and heavy industrial sectors. Additionally, she spent eight years at Air Liquide, where she held progressive leadership roles including operations, sales, finance and P&L management. She has been recognized for her leadership in transformation initiatives and executive development, including participation in global programs at London Business School and Ashridge Business School. She is passionate about advancing women in industrial sectors and is currently the executive sponsor of CMC Employee Resource Group (ERG) for Women. She previously founded the Employee Resource Group for Women at CRH, served in leadership roles for Air Liquide’s Employee Resource Group for Women, and served as a mentor to Mission Gender Equity and the 30% Club.

Alacyia Fields is the safety and health director at Nucor Steel Lexington, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and safety of all teammates during the plant’s construction phase and as it transitions to full operation. With a robust background in operations that started at Nucor Steel Louisiana LLC in 2013, Fields has held various leadership roles throughout her career that have provided her with a unique and comprehensive perspective on both operational efficiency and safety, emphasizing innovative approaches that go beyond compliance to truly engage a project and people. She was also a proud member of the Army National Guard where she served 8 years in total. As a passionate advocate for a culture of safety excellence, Fields is dedicated to fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and empowered. Her approach to safety is deeply rooted in understanding the diverse cultural backgrounds of her team, which enables her to implement strategies that resonate across all levels of the organization. Her enthusiasm for continuous learning and development is evident in her daily work as she strives to excel and inspire those around her. She is a wife and the mother of three loving children.


Sarah GilleySarah Gilley

For more than 20 years, Sarah Gilley has built her career in heavy industry, specializing in engineering and maintenance. Her work has taken her across the country, from coal mines deep underground to oil rigs two hundred miles out in the Gulf of Mexico, and everywhere in between. In early 2016, Gilley joined Cleveland-Cliffs’ legacy company, AK Steel, as a maintenance mechanical engineer where, among other things, she maintained all overhead cranes for the facility, coordinating large scale repairs, upgrades and improvements. In 2021, under the newly formed Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., she joined a small group, within corporate engineering, tasked with collaboratively developing the first standardized structural infrastructure inspection program across the corporation’s steel footprint. Today, Gilley serves dual leadership roles: Ohio Valley regional manager for Cleveland-Cliffs’ infrastructure program covering six locations and her recent promotion to engineering manager for the Rockport Works facility, where she oversees the site’s capital projects.
