Graduate Student Poster Contest Guidelines
The Graduate Student Poster Contest will take place at AISTech on Monday, 4 May 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland
All full-time graduate students who are registered for AISTech and have completed a project or paper may register to participate in this contest.
The topic of the poster should be related to the iron and steel industry, properties or applications. To be considered as a participant for this contest, you must submit your entry form by 15 March 2020.
Each author may use up to a 45” x 45” space. Graphics should be simple, colorful, well labeled and clear. The title should be written in letters 2 to 5 cm. high, and should be readable from a distance of 2 m. Posters will be judged on technical content and the quality of the presentation (clarity and aesthetics). Oral presentation of the research is not a criterion for judging.
Plan to hang your poster on the board designated with your name and poster title (push pins will be provided). Posters must be hung by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, 6 May 2019 and removed no sooner than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 7 May. Posters not removed by end of day on Wednesday, 9 May will be discarded. Authors are not to be present during judging from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on 4 May 2020.
The student who submits the poster entry form is the only student permitted to hang the poster and potentially take home a prize.
The top scores will receive cash prizes:
1st Place Winner — US$1,500
2nd Place Winner — US$1,000
3rd Place Winner — US$500
Awards will be presented at the Steel to Students Reception on Monday, 4 May 2020 at 6 p.m.
