The worldsteel association (wsa) has developed an interactive, Web-based resource on steel processing technologies and applications called steeluniversity.org.
Targeted at undergraduate students and their teachers, as well as engineers already employed by the steel industry, steeluniversity.org provides practical examples from the industry that illustrate and apply fundamental scientific, metallurgical and engineering principles. It also provides a range of realistic simulations of steel processing from raw materials to semifinished steel products and their applications. Users can take control of a virtual steel plant and make operational decisions.
