K-12 Student Travel Reimbursement Grant Application

Please complete the following application to apply for a Travel Reimbursement Grant. This grant can be used for student groups attending a steel-related plan tour or AIST event. A separate application is required for each funding request and must be submitted at least two weeks prior to each event to be considered for funding.  

Eligibility Guidelines for Obtaining a K-12 Student Travel Reimbursement Grant:

•    Student groups shall include students currently enrolled full-time in school.

•    Student groups shall include at least one adult chaperone.

•    Student groups shall arrange approval with an appropriate point of contact for the steel plant or steel-related company (if applicable).

•    Recipients of this grant agree to provide AIST with a group photo(s) from this experience.

•    Transportation expenses up to US$1,500 will be reimbursed by the AIST Foundation to the participating school or instructor.

•    Personnel time, overhead charges, food, etc. are not reimbursable.

•    At the conclusion of the tour, an itemized expense report with itemized receipts, along with the photos, are to be sent to Kaliana Villa (KVilla@aist.org) for reimbursement to the school.
