Discounted Registration for AISTech
Advanced registration is FREE for full-time Material Advantage members and US$50 for non-member full-time students. Late registration is US$30 for Material Advantage members and US$80 for non-member students.
Student members are also offered the opportunity to earn money while acting as session monitors at AISTech. Questions about being a session monitor should be addressed to Courtney Young at cyoung@aist.org.

Each year, the AIST Foundation sponsors three major contests for high school, undergraduate and/or graduate students.

Training and Travel Funds
The AIST Foundation's Steel to Students Training Program provides free registration and up to US$600 in travel reimbursement to post-secondary vocational/technical school students, undergraduate and graduate-level students to attend AIST’s Technology Training Conferences and AIST Member Chapter annual meetings that include a technical program.

Student Resume Board
The AIST Student Resume Board is open year-round for students seeking jobs or internships to post resumes. The resume board is shared with steel company human resources contacts. Graduates seeking employment and undergrads seeking internships are invited to upload their resumes for inclusion on the Student Resume Board.
Resumes remain posted for approximately one year. If you wish to update the resume, simply send an updated file. If you wish to have it removed, contact Courtney Young.

Free Resume Coaching
AIST now offers students the opportunity to submit resumes to a steel industry expert and resume coach! Before you submit your resume to potential employers, make sure you first send it to resumecoaching@aist.org to receive feedback that will set you apart from other candidates. This service is free for all student members — take advantage!
Access to the AIST Resource Center
The AIST Resource Center houses all electronic versions of AIST’s premier technical journal, Iron & Steel Technology, more than 12,000 downloadable technical articles, industry data, and publications. As a student member, you will receive unlimited downloads of full issues of Iron & Steel Technology and 100 downloads per year of individual conference proceedings papers, technical articles and industry data, as well as discounts on AIST print publications.
