Technology Committee Award General Guidelines

• Only AIST members may nominate a candidate, unless noted.

• For all award candidates, there are no restrictions with respect to nationality, citizenship, race, gender, occupation, age or membership in AIST, unless noted.

• The deadline for nominations of candidates for all technology division-level awards will be 30 October of each year.

• All recipients will be selected by 31 January by each technology committee.

• A recipient shall be selected annually for each award unless noted, provided a qualified candidate is nominated.

• The award recipient must be living at the time of selection.

• Following the selection process, award recipients shall be approved by the AIST Board of Directors through electronic ballot by 28 February.

• AIST headquarters shall notify, in writing, all award recipients and principal nominators.

• All awards will be presented during a session at AISTech or MS&T at a technology committee meeting, or member chapter meeting, unless noted.

• All award recipients will be identified in the July issue of Iron & Steel Technology the following year.

• An annual budget will be established for the Awards and Recognition Program by the Board of Directors.
