About the Program
This seminar is a combined effort of the Material Handling and Transportation & Logistics Technology Committees. The program is developed to address the complexities of moving steel safely, effectively and efficiently. The steel industry is changing at an alarming rate and the focus of this seminar is to ensure the movement of steel changes along with it. The program will address the development of advanced material handling methods and technologies for within and outside of the steel plant.
Who Should Attend
All plant personnel who wish to gain an understanding of technology as it applies to safely moving through the material cycle, including trucking regulations and supplies to the mill both internally within the mill and direct to the customer. Anyone who has responsibility for the above, including: plant managers; material handling and shipping engineers, planners, technical engineers, operators, and management; safety, service, design and cost engineers; third-party mill groups; suppliers and customers.
Bring Your Own Young Professional (BYOYP) Program
AIST recently launched the Bring Your Own Young Professional (BYOYP) program to encourage our members to help boost the next generation’s involvement in AIST and the steel industry. If you are an AIST member and are bringing a Young Professional (age 30 and under) to the conference, you can receive a free gift. Professional Development Hours
This course may qualify for up to 10 Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits. Each attendee will receive a certificate listing the quantity of PDH credits earned for this course. This course is not approved for PDH credit in New York, Florida, North Carolina and Oklahoma.
