Rehan Arif is an engineering manager at Hatch Middle East, currently supporting Hatch’s Iron & Steel portfolio in the MENA region, including the promotion of Hatch’s steel technologies to regional clients. He has 15 years of experience in engineering and design within the metals sector and has successfully led a range of projects across the steel industry, with a focus on electric arc furnaces, blast furnaces, hot strip mills and finishing mills. Arif joined Hatch in 2011 in Canada as part of the Custom Machine Design group, where he was involved in the detailed design of mechanical equipment and technology development. Since then, as part of the Project Delivery Group, he has gained international experience working in Canada, the United States and the Middle East. He joined the MENA Member Chapter in 2024 and currently serves as chair of the AIST MENA Marketing Subcommittee. Arif holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McMaster University and an M.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
