My time at the plant marked a turning point, allowing me to grow significantly both in my technical skills and on a personal level. What made this experience unforgettable was working side by side with highly qualified professionals and playing an active role in key decisions for the company, becoming an integral part of the team.
Completing my internship at the Tenaris Tamsa Research and Development Center was a great honor, as it is Tenaris’ largest research center worldwide. Working on my project there gave me the opportunity to collaborate directly with different departments. I am proud to have completed my project on time and to the highest standards, knowing that it made a significant contribution to the industry and that I was able to exceed the set objectives. None of this would have been possible without the support of my supervisors, whom I deeply thank for trusting me to carry out these activities. In addition, the company offers a variety of learning and development activities and programs that motivated me to continue growing, surrounding me with highly qualified professionals and, above all, wonderful people with whom I always felt like part of a family.
This opportunity was crucial because it allowed me to experience the real industrial work environment firsthand, which enabled me to return to my studies with a much clearer vision of my professional future. In addition, I developed skills that, under other circumstances, I probably wouldn’t have acquired until after graduation. Having had this experience at this stage of my education has given me greater confidence and better preparation to face the challenges of my professional career. I definitely see myself building my future in the steel industry, as it is an extremely broad and dynamic sector that offers numerous areas for professional growth, ranging from research and technological development to process optimization. It’s a field that never stops evolving and that opens the door to constant challenges, allowing you not only to grow as a specialist but also to be part of a global value chain that drives technological and industrial development around the world.
Without a doubt, it’s an experience I would relive in a heartbeat, given everything it offers. I’d like more students to have the chance to experience something like this. That’s why I want to encourage more young people to apply for the Steel Intern Scholarship. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to get an inside look at the industrial world, put what we learn in the classroom into practice and return to college with unparalleled professional momentum. I want to inspire that same passion in my classmates by talking with them so they can grasp the true importance of our field in the working world, reminding them that metallurgy is at the heart of many industries and that today’s world demands steel experts capable of innovating in processes and products.
