Roadmap for Iron & Steel Manufacturing
AIST is proud to unveil the Roadmap for Iron and Steel Manufacturing: Revolutionizing U.S. Global Leadership for a Sustainable Industrial Supply Chain — a project funded by a multiyear grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This comprehensive Roadmap outlines the technologies, infrastructure and workforce strategies necessary to decarbonize the U.S. iron and steel industry while strengthening global competitiveness across the value chain.

Committee activities include plant tours, study tours, conference and webinar program development, industry surveys, roundtable discussions, technical presentations, technical reports, and benchmarking metrics.
Simon Leiderman, sales and marketing manager, Imacro, did not intend to work in steel. He wanted to study fullerenes (Simon said to look them up!).
