2026 February Issue

CMC started production in June 2023 on its newly installed, technologically advanced merchant micro-mill in Mesa, Ariz., USA. Known as Steel Arizona 2, it is the third CMC micro-mill utilizing fast-casting technolo-gy to produce rebar and will be the first micro-mill in the world to produce a vast range of merchant products. The Danieli-supplied mill has a designed capacity of 550,000 tons per year.
