Meeting Planner

Location: Warrendale, PA (on-site)
Travel: Approximately 30–40%
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt

AIST is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Meeting Planner to support the planning and execution of technical conferences, training programs and committee meetings throughout North America and internationally. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality events that advance the steel industry through education, technology transfer and professional networking.

Working closely with staff engineers, volunteer leaders and internal departments, the Meeting Planner will coordinate conference logistics, site selection, vendor management, registration operations, marketing communications and on-site event execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously and is passionate about creating exceptional event experiences.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, communications or related field.
  • 2–5 years of meeting planning or event management experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication and project management skills.
  • Experience coordinating venues, vendors, registrations and event logistics.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30–40%.

Preferred: Experience working with volunteer committees, technical conferences, association events or nonprofit organizations.

Sales Administrator

Location: Warrendale, PA (On-Site)
Travel: Approximately 5–10%
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

AIST is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Administrator to support the growth and execution of advertising, sponsorship, exhibit and event sales activities. This position serves as a key member of the sales team, providing operational support, managing customer and sales data, coordinating contracts and invoices, and helping ensure the successful delivery of commercial products and services.

The Sales Administrator works closely with exhibitors, sponsors, advertisers, vendors and internal teams to support major events such as AISTech while maintaining accurate records within AIST’s database and event management platforms. This role is ideal for an organized professional who enjoys balancing customer service, data management, project coordination and event support.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in sales administration, account management or customer support.
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred: Experience in a nonprofit association, B2B sales environment, trade shows, events, manufacturing or industrial sectors.
