International Symposium on the Advances in Product Metallurgy of Long and Forged Products
7–10 June 2027 • The Hythe Hotel • Vail, CO, USA
About the Program
Long and forged products are used in many critical applications, including transportation, energy and heavy equipment. This symposium intends to bring together international and domestic researchers from industry and academia to present on topics related to advances in the physical, mechanical and product metallurgy of bars, tubes and forgings. Presentations will cover new developments in microstructural design and alloying strategies, thermomechanical processing and heat treatment, improved steel cleanliness and machinability, materials and process modeling, innovative plant and process technologies, AI/ML for process optimization and defect detection, and performance topics such as hydrogen embrittlement, fatigue, and high-strength/high-toughness steels.
Who Should Attend
The conference should be attended by engineers and researchers interested in steel product metallurgy focused on bars, tubes, and forged products including those responsible for product development in steel production and related industries, heating treating facilities, automotive and heavy equipment production, energy products and other industries. Government and academic professionals and students performing research and development in these areas or who seek information about critical developments in long and forged products and applications should also attend.
