Call for Panelists

We are seeking panelists for two roundtable sessions at the upcoming Digital Transformation Forum for the Steel Industry, scheduled for 13–14 October 2026 at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square, Pittsburgh, Pa., USA. The forum will bring together producers and vendors to discuss the latest developments and trends in digital transformation within the steel industry.

It is widely recognized that embracing digital transformation is a critical component for steel companies’ future success. Based on past Forum attendee feedback on having a greater opportunity for attendee questions and dialogue on important digitalization topics, we are seeking panelists for the following two roundtables:

  1. AI and Generative AI
  2. Digitalization and Safety

The roundtable discussions will be composed of both producers and vendors. As an industry leader, your insights and expertise would be a valuable contribution to the discussion.

For the AI and GenAI topic, possible areas of discussion include:

  • Generative AI to prepare reports and generate documents to save time.
  • Generative AI for patent analysis and knowledge synthesis.  
  • Generative AI for standard operating procedures and guidance for work performed.
  • Generative AI for product development and design.  
  • Smart plant implementation, e.g., dark factory.
  • Generative AI to replace mundane tasks and free up personnel for other opportunities.
  • Customer service automation.

For the Safety topic, possible areas of discussion include:

  • Automation and robotics.
  • Computer vision and AI.
  • Advanced analytics.
  • With a focus on human privacy.
