AIC Control System Passes Acceptance Test
07/09/2020 - An upgraded rolling mill control system at Chicago Heights Steel has passed its final acceptance test, reports the project contractor.
In a statement, Automazioni Industriali Capitanio said the project included installation of new main and auxiliary drives and automation and control desks serving the long products re-roller’s mill in Illinois.
The company said the upgrade is part of a broader overhaul of the rolling mill, which is taking place this summer.
