The AISI board of directors said they have elected Clive Grannum, chief executive officer of North American Stainless; Rick Marabito, chief executive officer of Olympic Steel; Guillermo Moreno, president, USA of Tenaris; and Barry Zekelman, executive chairman and chief executive officer of Zekelman Industries. 

“Clive, Rick, [Guillermo “Willy” Moreno] and Barry are strong advocates for American steel and for combating the unfair trade practices that have dramatically impacted our industry,” said AISI chairman Lourenco Goncalves. 

Two of the new board members represent companies which recently joined AISI while the other two are taking the place of outgoing board members, the institute said. 

“As we navigate this critical period in the history of our industry, we look forward to working with these strong and passionate leaders to advance AISI’s policy priorities,” said Kevin Dempsey, AISI president and chief executive officer.
