AK Steel: A Name That Will Live in History
04/12/2021 - Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. has decided to retire the AK Steel name and has begun renaming facilities to reflect the change in ownership, reports the Journal-News newspaper in Ohio.
“While we appreciate and respect the legacy AK Steel name, we will be retiring the name and brand over the coming months,” a company spokeswoman told the newspaper.
