AM/NS India Launches Two New Heavy Steel Plate Brands
08/14/2026 - AM/NS India announced it has launched two new heavy steel plate brands, STRUCTROMAX and WELDSTAR, developed at its plate mill facility in Hazira, Gujarat.
The company said the products were designed for the infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, energy, transportation and heavy engineering sectors. They combine advanced rolling and heat treatment technologies with metallurgical and quality control.
“STRUCTROMAX and WELDSTAR broaden the advanced heavy plate options available to Indian engineers, fabricators and manufacturers, while strengthening domestic capability for high-value applications,” said Ranjan Dhar, director and vice president of sales and marketing at AM/NS India.
STRUCTROMAX uses thermomechanical controlled processing to deliver to a variety of sectors with trusted performance to allow engineers and project developers to build structures under demanding operating or climatic conditions.
WELDSTAR is a range of ultrahigh-strength steel plates mainly designed for critical applications to decrease operating costs. It can optimize weight, increase payload capacity, improve fuel economy and reduce life cycle costs while maintaining safety and durability.
The company’s heavy plate products are green steel certified.
