ArcelorMittal announced that the 2009 Corporate Responsibility (CR) Reports for the United States and India have been nominated for Corporate Register's Corporate Responsibility Reporting Awards (CRRA), the only independent global annual awards for corporate responsibility reporting.
The 2009 CR Reports for both the United States and India are featured in the "Best First Time Report" category among 12 other reports that demonstrate sustainability efforts of companies around the world.
Both reports, issued in 2010 as an addendum to ArcelorMittal's global report, offer a comprehensive overview of the company’s accomplishments and challenges in its four pillars of corporate responsibility. The reports also mark ArcelorMittal's progress toward achieving transparency and reporting goals.
ArcelorMittal's global CR Report has also been nominated in three categories: "Creativity in Communications," "Relevance and Materiality," and "Openness and Honesty."
The CR Reporting Awards are open for voting through January 28, 2011, at www.corporateregister.com/crra. Voting is open to all registered users of Corporate Register.
