ArcelorMittal Signs US$2.7B Natural Gas Supply Agreement
01/04/2024 - ArcelorMittal Mexico has renewed a natural gas supply agreement with Mexican state utility CFE Energía, a 10-year deal worth US$2.7 billion, according to the Reuters news service.
According to Reuters, the contract secures a gas supply to ArcelorMittal’s Lázaro Cárdenas operations.
"This renewal represents a significant milestone in our relationship with CFE Energía. We are proud to strengthen our ties with a leading company in the energy sector, thus ensuring the continuity and competitiveness of our operations," said ArcelorMittal Mexico chief executive officer Victor M. Cairo.
