ArcelorMittal’s Ukraine Plant Suffers Missile Strike
08/17/2026 - ArcelorMittal confirmed today that its operation in Ukraine, ArcelorMittal Kryvih Rih, suffered a missile strikeover the weekend, resulting in multiple injuries and casualties.
The company said that13 employees and contractors were injured while two passed away. The plant was operational at the time of the attack, but the main production facilities of the energy and blast furnace production were damaged. Production processes have been partially halted.
