Baosteel Steel Pipe Taps SMS group for Two PQF® Seamless Tube Plants
07/07/2026 - SMS group announced it will supply two premium quality finishing (PQF®) seamless tube rolling lines to Baosteel Steel Pipe Science and Technology Co. Ltd. in Ma’anshan, China.
SMS group said it will deliver all components and automation systems for both new PQF seamless tube plants. The companies estimate they will have a capacity of 1.18 million metric tons each annually. The scope also includes two cone-type piercing mills, two stretch rolling mills, CARTAneo process software and redressing equipment.
