BlueScope Announces Board Changes

McAloon announced Michael Morley will act as an independent nonexecutive director, effective 1 June 2026.

“Michael brings valuable global senior management experience across industrial, cyclical and capital intensive businesses. He has deep and broad commercial and operational steel industry experience across the value chain from steelmaking through to fabrication, distribution and customer relationships, and brings significant corporate development and M&A experience,” McAloon said.

The company also announced Rebecca Dee-Bradbury will retire from the board, effective at the close of the 2026 annual general meeting in November. Dee-Bradbury was with the company for 12 years and served as chair of the remuneration and organization committee.

“The updated committee structure is simpler and better aligns the board’s oversight with BlueScope’s strategic priorities. These changes ensure the board’s governance framework remains fit for purpose as the company and its operating environment continue to evolve,” McAloon explained.
