Butech Bliss to Deliver Stretch Leveling Cut-to-Length Line to Granite City Processing
06/10/2026 - Butech Bliss announced it will install a new stretch leveling cut-to-length line at Granite City Processing’s facility in Granite City, Ill., USA.
The company said the machine can process hot-rolled and pickled and oiled steel up to 0.625 inch thick and 74 inches wide at speeds up to 225 feet per minute. It will feature technologies including Butech Bliss’ direct-drive shear, the Synergy™ Leveling System and a stretch leveler, and a pivoting exit conveyor.
“This new line will significantly enhance our plant’s production capabilities. It will also enable us to provide faster turnaround times for our customers while continuing to deliver the high-quality product they expect from Granite City Processing,” said Dan Cates, operations manager at Steel and Pipe Supply, one half of the joint venture with Heidtman Steel Products Inc. which make up Granite City Processing.
The companies said the upgrades will help Granite City Processing expand its processing range, improve throughput and deliver flat-rolled products with consistency.
